(Cue music to "Mrs. Robinson") "Where have you gone, Colorado Media Matters? A state barely notices you're through ... Woo, woo, woo...." Nice ("don't let the door hit you on the way out") post-mortems from Slapstick Politics and Rossputin. Curious silence from the various Lefty blogs I've read, though. Maybe they are just relieved that the embarrassment is gone. As for me, I feel bad I've already wasted the last 5 minutes of my life... … [Read more...]
Tea Parties Today in Denver and Nationwide: Is a Revolution Brewing?
Update, 2/28: Western Slope blogger Gene Kinsey has links to more Tea Party accounts from across the nation. Update, 6 PM: My brother-in-law, an excellent photographer not usually inclined to attend politically-oriented rallies and events, had his pictures from today's Denver Tea Party linked and featured by Instapundit. How cool is that? More than 40 "Tea Party" rallies around the country today: Is there a revolution brewing? (Pun intended) Who knows? But the energy on display today can't be left to simmer away in a lukewarm acceptance of wasteful government spending and mounting, endless debt. Pictures of the Denver Tea Party are up at People's Press Collective and Slapstick Politics (with video to come later). Great pics from … [Read more...]

With proposals to further socialize health care looming at the State Capitol, the second guest is the Fraser Institute's … [Read more...]

Slapstick Politics Covers Colorado: Still Very Much in Play for McCain-Palin
Update: Gene Kinsey provides photos and first-hand reporting of Sarah Palin's Monday rally in Grand Junction. Short on time for in-depth blogging this morning, I'd point you to Slapstick Politics' coverage of unfolding national campaign events here in our fair state: Colorado "Gone" For John McCain Despite Appearances By Sarah Palin? Battleground Colorado: Sarah Palin Interview; "First Dude" A Rockstar; Biden "Blitz" John McCain Concedes Colorado By Campaigning in Denver, Durango On Friday Don't buy the lies from the Left or the media hype. The race isn't over in Colorado. Mid-October polling in this state traditionally tilts slightly to the Democratic side. It did for Al Gore in 2000 and John Kerry in 2004. Last time I checked, … [Read more...]

Channeling the Late Milton Friedman’s Insights on Current Market Crisis
Wondering what's going on with the current crisis in the financial markets? Friedman Foundation senior fellow Greg Forster channels the late great economist Milton Friedman via an article written by William F. Buckley during the stock market tumble of 1987. It's worth a read. I'd like to believe Friedman's assessments then apply to today's situation. He's been right about so many other things. But Julia Dunraven at Slapstick Politics has a more pessimistic view, with a lot of the numbers to back it up. Then again, maybe they're both right. … [Read more...]
