No Shocker: Daily Kos Poll Skewed, Michael Bennet is Actually Behind
So the Democrats' Research 2000/Daily Kos crew has released a poll today showing incumbent appointed U.S. Senator Michael Bennet one point ahead of leading Republican challenger Jane Norton. But, you say, wasn't it just Friday -- three days ago -- that Rasmussen had Norton up 12 points on Bennet? Rasmussen's margin of error (MOE) is 4.5 points, which means at the bottom end Norton is ahead of Bennet by 7.5. Research 2000's MOE is 4 points, which means at the top end Norton is ahead of Bennet by 3. Since the two polls were conducted at virtually the same time, the obvious conclusion is that one (or both) of them simply is wrong. So whom do we trust? Update, 12/16: Part 2 is now available as well. Rossputin performs a great service with a two-part, in-depth investigation of the "Federal corruption and cover-up in the prosecution of Cory Voorhis." Part 1 is released this morning -- for those less familiar with the story, Rossputin does a thorough job summarizing events. In addition, he introduces a lot of evidence I haven't seen before that shows in detail how the case against Cory Voorhis was corrupted. Excellent work all in all. Fondly Remembering My RMA Friend Jim Cannon One Year After His Passing
Today brings a difficult reminder of how quickly time passes. It was exactly one years ago that the Rocky Mountain Alliance lost a charter member, and I lost a good friend and Christian brother: Jim Cannon. From our point of view, he left us all too soon. But God knew just when to bring him home. I am thankful for the opportunity to have known Jim, and for the positive impact he had on my life.
