How To Throw A Business Networking Event Worth Talking About

Business networking events are great if they’re done right. Sometimes people dread going to them because they’ve previously been to meetings that haven’t been worth their time or effort. You have to know how to throw a good party to impress people and get them to stay.

If you’re going to have an event, make sure you know what you’re doing. Research ahead of time and take the proper steps to ensure it’s done with careful planning. Remember that your gathering is a representation of you and your company. See how to throw a business networking event worth talking about.

Tickets

Set the tone by distributing nicely designed tickets. Use a free online ticket maker to create a ticket that’s branded and looks professionally done. Select from a variety of shapes and sizes and themes, images and text to build your event ticket. The design sets the tone for the entire evening. Be mindful of what colors and images you’re selecting to advertise your gathering.

Food

Every great event always has amazing food. Don’t disappoint your guests by going cheap on the food items. Taste test your different options and make sure you approve of the dishes before making your final selection. Determine if you’ll be having food stations or a full sit down dinner. Whatever you decide, make sure there’s plenty to go around all night. Remember to top it all off with a delicious dessert.

Venue

Pick a location that gets a positive reaction from your guests. Make sure the size is in proportion to how many visitors you’re inviting. Think about the theme of the event and where most guests are located before signing off on a venue. A beautiful event space will impress your invitees and make the party that much more enjoyable. Walk the layout of the space ahead of time so you’re comfortable with where all of the people and necessary items will be placed the night of the event.

Entertainment

Schedule time for entertainment to get the party started. Impress your guests with live music or local performers. Break up the evening and allow your guests to sit back and relax while they enjoy the entertainment. Read reviews and watch videos online before selecting a performer. Be sure that they’re top-notch prior to putting them in front of clients and potential customers.

Closing Remarks

Wrap-up the evening with a nice message to everyone who came. Let them know you’re grateful for their attendance and appreciate their business. Keep it short, but make sure your delivery is genuine. Thank the staff and venue for their hard work and the entertainers for a great performance. If you hosted a raffle or have any gifts or awards to distribute, the end of the night is a good time to announce the winners.

Conclusion

These are best practices for hosting a remarkable event. It’s smart to have a plan and not try to wing it. This is how to throw a business networking event worth talking about.
