Breaking: The annual center-right blogger poll of “Least Favorite People on the Right” – brought to you by John Hawkins at Right Wing News – has been released. Each of the 46 center-right bloggers who participated submitted an unranked list of 12 nominees. The top 25 names – from “McCain staffers” to John McCain – have been released as part of the poll.
For the first time I was a participant in the poll. Of the 12 names I suggested, 11 appear in the top 25. Personally, I don’t consider a few of the other names to be “on the Right” – a loose designation, to be sure, and of necessity. Anyway, thought you may find the results interesting.
Now, who thot-att-un up? “Let’s do a poll on conservatives we don’t like.” I personally thank att’s a bit ohn the puerile side, but that’s jus’ me. As fir who the real conservatives are ‘n ain’t, however, well-att’s precisely th’ question, ain’t it? Is the “center-right” really conservative?

I’ve been readin’ a lotta th’ breast-beatin’ articles ‘n blog entries written by cornservatives of late, ‘n it seems t’ me that many of ’em just dohn’t git it. They tawk a lot ’bout returnin’ t’ cornservative principles ‘n wut not, but without sayin’ wut them principles are, ‘n whar they come from. Ye’d thank cornservatism begun with Reagan.

No menshun of th’ likes of Barry Goldwater or Robert Taft, or of the important fellers in the history of cornservatism-att preceded ‘em. ‘N forgit that that crazy ol’ Ron Paul is simply tryin’ t’ REVIVE the honorable cornservative tradition of states rights, limited gummint, ‘n th’ eschewin’ of imperial endeavors.
