Union LIAR Ready to Suck Money from Workers to Attack Bill Ritter?

Sound the alarm on Bill Ritter's re-election chances. Hard-core Democrats are swearing they're going to abandon ship, at least if you take the Dead Governors at their word. But really, Ritter's sagging popularity is not exactly newsworthy for those who have been paying attention the past couple months or so. The real reason I gave a link to Colorado Pols was the unintentional humor behind a new union political group aimed at challenging (or at least threatening) Colorado's incumbent Democratic governor:A group calling itself Labor Initiatives Against Ritter - or LIAR - has filed the paperwork needed with the Internal Revenue Service to begin raising money for political purposes. Mark Johnson, an International Brotherhood of … [Read more...]

Beware the Kremulakian Invasion

This may be the funniest thing I've read in a long time. (Tell me again why Iowahawk wasn't even nominated for Best Humor Blog?) I triple dog dare you to read through it without breaking out into uproarious, teary-eyed laughter. And that's saying a lot, as I also have been perusing through this book recently. … [Read more...]

Please Accept My Apologies for the Detroit Lions…Who Make Me Laugh

When people learn that I grew up in Michigan, occasionally I hear the question of whether my sports fan loyalties still lie in the land of my childhood. "That depends," I say. "Detroit Tigers? Detroit Red Wings? Yes." "What about the Lions?" "Uh, check please...." I'm pretty sure I've been cured of that disease. How do I know? Well, reading through DJ Gallo's ESPN Page 2 column this evening, I found myself laughing out loud at this segment: … [Read more...]

Slow Joe the Six-Term Senator … Remember, He’s Smarter Than You

Joe Biden, er, how many letters in that word? If it makes you feel better, Joe Biden clearly has a "much higher IQ than you": It's Friday, a good time for laughs. So if you have 10 minutes, you also ought to watch the good-spirited and rollicking humor of Senator John McCain's speech at the Al Smith dinner. Even Barack Obama was in stitches as many of the subtle (and sometimes self-deprecating) jabs were delivered. (H/T Patrick Ruffini, The Next Right) … [Read more...]

Dose of Humor: The 24 Pilot from 1994?

Posted over at the Volokh Conspiracy is a short video depicting what a pilot episode of Fox's 24 would have looked like if were done in 1994. Good humor, especially for fans of the show. … [Read more...]
