Please Consider Supporting My Friend Libby Szabo for House District 27

I’m excited to be able to share the news that conservative Republican Libby Szabo — one of my favorite people — has announced she is running to be my next state representative. She will be a formidable challenger to incumbent Democrat and Ritter disciple Sara Gagliardi in a very winnable race.

Below the fold is a copy of Libby’s press release announcing her campaign:

Republican Libby Szabo today declared her candidacy for the 27th District of Colorado’s State House, announcing she will run on a platform of fiscal responsibility and job restoration.

“We need government to stop overspending and start taking a more responsible approach that encourages job growth,” Szabo said. “Families have to live within their means, and so should government.”

Szabo’s campaign contrasts with incumbent Rep. Sara Gagliardi, whose voting record has closely mirrored the tax and spend agenda of her party’s sitting governor, Bill Ritter. “She has been a rubber stamp for Ritter,” said Szabo. “We need an independent voice who is willing and able to stand up to the Denver Democrats and their partisan agenda that has killed jobs in Colorado.”

Szabo is a Colorado native and mother of four children, all of whom attended Jefferson County schools. She has worked in the financial services industry and has been a part of the 40-year-old local manufacturing company started by her father-in-law and operated by her husband and brothers-in-law. Szabo is well aware of the negative impacts that increased taxes and regulations have on Colorado families and small businesses.

House District 27 encompasses parts of Arvada, including historic Olde Town, and parts of unincorporated Jefferson County.

“Sara Gagliardi’s voting record is simply out of touch with families and small businesses in Arvada and Jefferson County. Voters of all stripes and political affiliations are looking for common sense solutions and policies,” said Rep. Frank McNulty (R-Highlands Ranch).”And that’s exactly what Libby brings to the table. Libby Szabo will serve the families and small businesses of Arvada well.”

As a personal recommendation, if you believe in a great candidate who will represent you the taxpayer at the State Capitol in Denver, please consider supporting Libby Szabo.

Yay, Libby! We need a State Representative who will vote on behalf of hard-working taxpayers and small business owners. Libby is a strong fiscal conservative who believes in less regulation. We need to replace Sara Gagliardi who supports Obamacare and is funded by the unionis!
